(1967/1968)

Harry Nilsson's first two albums. In interview Lennon declared 'Nilsson for president' and I am inclined to agree. No mucking around, just largely underrated pop genius. When it started to look like he might get famous, Nilsson did a Randy Newman covers album. Sampleage.

(1993)

One of the most accomplished albums released on Creation, and the title is intended as a tribute to Coltrane's classic. Shoegazey, but alot more eclectic than your standard Ride-imitating fare, managing to squeeze in jazz, dub and quality songwriting. Snip

'Kill yourself at work for what seems nothing at all, then you go home and you cry and you feel so very small, so you listen to the Beatles and relax and close your eyes, and you feel it running through you, feel the hate well up inside'

I am now a proud owner of Bee Thousand by Guided by Voices.
As a bonus, I bought Synchronicity on vinyl for 4 bucks! AND I now own the Pet Sounds LP reissue, 180 grams : )

It's a compilation album, so i'm sure youve probably heard the songs before.

Rescue
The Puppet
Do It Clean
A Promise
The Back of Love
The Cutter
Never Stop
The Killing Moon
Silver
Seven Seas
Bring On the Dancing Horses

But yeh, it's a good one. I'd recommend it to anyone new to Echo & the Bunnymen.

Oh...haha. That would be why I haven't heard it. I don't usually listen to compilations. I've been listening to the Bunnymen for a couple years now, so I've already got most of those songs anyways.

It doesn't have Villier's Terrace or All That Jazz.

That's ok, Crocodiles really needs to be heard in its entirety. Rescue into Villier's Terrace into Pictures On My Wall is exquisite.
