Got a varied bunch of things today.

CD's:

I don't have any idea what's on that Renée Søndergaard EP, but it looks like it might be vocal jazz and it was nearly free. Taking a tiny chance on that one. The rest, I have good to decent reason to think I will enjoy.

LP (for the cover):

Don't have a record player but I'm buying the odd LP anyway when I find a cover that I like. Baez is great and I like the 70's vibe of this cover. I intend to get the CD version sometime before Christmas, since I assume it's a Christmas album. My copy is a bit more worn than the one in the picture, plus the Vanguard label is printed over the title instead of under the picture. Cost very little, so I don't mind a few scratches so much.

Have you checked out Der Ring des Nibelungen? I don't listen to opera, but I saw all four operas on TV and it was some epic nerd ****. Also a lot of LOTR stuff going on, but I can't remember if Tolkien got anything from Wagner or they just liked the same myths.

True Neutral Crew - Soft Rules

First listen: *perplexed*
Immediate second listen: *still perplexed*

This is some weird **** dude. The best way I can describe it is that it's an oddly modernized amalgamated blend of Injury Reserve, Curse Ov Dialect, Doseone, Brockhampton, and Shabazz. Some Moor Motherhood in there too. I don't even know if I like it, which usually means that it will be a new favourite album of mine in the near future.
