I've only listened to a couple songs so far, but the way the album sounds really bothers me for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on it yet.

I've only listened to a few songs as well but I know what you mean. It almost sounds like Josh Homme is doing a David Bowie impression.

Indeed, though I quite liked it. Rumor has it that the leak is actually a version created prior to the mastering of the album. That means I definitely need to at least wait until release for my full thoughts.

Yet more from some artists I've been going pretty heavily into recently. I tend to get a bit obsessed when I find a new thing that I really like.
There's still more from all of these women I've been buying albums with over the last couple months, but I think I want to focus on something else for a while next time I buy some CD's.

I'm listening to the last in the line here right now and it is pretty stunning at times.
'Alegria' and 'South' are two albums here that I haven't listened to yet. Both Carly Simon and Rickie Lee Jones keep surprising me with the direction their albums take, which is great.

I just thought the music was boring, whatever it was trying to be.

SickTanicK - Oculus Omnia

SickTanaicK is a horrorcore rapper who started out using satanic and occult symbols for shock value in his music then eventually started rapping more about the esoteric and Thelema especially after he was innitiated into the Ordo Templi Orientis.

First album he's released since 2012. This album shows a lot of progression with his rapping ability from his beginnings as the voice straining monotone single syllable rapper. A lot of emotion and personal things released in this which isn't like him much, but honestly the direction I wanted from him. He sounds like Joe Budden if he left his clever punchlines in a hot topic. The beats were also really dope on this too, for the most part. The mixing and mastering was atrocious though. Seemed rushed and half assed and ruins what would be rather good songs.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Update: Rat Boy's 25 track deluxe album is pretty good.

Idles - Brutalism (2017)
For those still mourning the long absence of Mclusky, this band's own unique brand of post-punk/post-hardcore and British lyrical wit fits the bill nicely.

Girl Ray - Earl Grey (2017)
This album is lovely. You're immediately reminded of lo-fi 80's indiepop bands like Dolly Mixture, but this band is more adventurous than that and experiment with the formula. It could have benefited from a shorter running time though.
