I always doubted whether to use Discogs to buy records. Was it a smooth process?

Yeah, apparently they made a variety of styles.

I use Discogs a lot to buy stuff. Mostly from Europe.
Like eBay, ratings usually help in judging the seller.

I'll let you know. Seller has to contact me first before the deal is finalized.

Already sounds shady.

it's been 50/50 for me. worth it if it's a record you really want but can't find, but otherwise i would recommend record stores more. i've had a fair share of records listed as being in near mint condition arrive with rips, tears, and surface damage.

In all of the years I've been getting stuff thru Discogs, there was only one time when a package arrived
from Germany without anything in it - and the guy resent the whole thing again for no charge. Ratings.

How do you send an empty package unless you're running a scam? And fixing the problem would undermine the scam, so I'm just left confused.

He didn't send an empty package. The postal service mangled the thing so badly that all that arrived was a parcel that was open on some sides and everything had fallen out somewhere. This fellow and I agreed that the next package should be double-wrapped and addressed on the inside as well so that if the contents ever fell out, the PO would know where it was heading to and could send it on instead of having all of the insides scattered everywhere. I've had this happen with envelopes too, but at least the insides usually have some address info and is usually repackaged with an "apology."
Christ, some people here are soooo negative about shit - automatically expecting people to screw over others.

Pueblo Café—Busca Oro
Mexican style hip hop with a live banda. It seems pretty good so far, though I haven't listened to the whole thing yet.
