Quite enjoying this one at the moment. Just winding down and relaxing.

Revisiting a favorite album from the 90's. I bought this album when it was first released in 1994 and it's still a great album all these years later. This version has added bonus tracks that I hadn't heard before.

Idiot Flesh - Tales of Instant Knowledge and Sure Death (1992) / The Nothing Show (1995)

I love Idiot Flesh, and when writing my latest review for the Album Club I was reminded of the band. So I decided to download their other two albums that were released prior to Fancy. Let's see what they are all about.

Easiest way to describe it would be Jazz Fusion, it has some funk elements, some traditional and compositional elements, nice tempo and signiture changes, great use of wind instruments, bit of soloing in there, clean bass driving it forward as well as what any jazz/funk/groove record needs, a 'tasty' clean sounding set of breakbeat's partnered with the bass for some extra fleshed out punch

I've not been in the right state to listen to something so depressing yet, as I assume it's depressing as ****.

"Psychedelic" early jazz-rock that stands, with arthritic legs, on the hokum line of manufactured big-band hip(py)ness of the age.
It has its place, but I don't think it would be in your collection (or even in your mind).
Not sure you would even like the better album, "Innocent Canon." Good musicians individually tho!
