Also bought Room on Fire by the Strokes and it sounds pretty good on my first couple of listens. A little louder and a little more raw than other stuff I've been listening to but can't say too much more as I'm too busy listening to the other one!

All about Blood Sugar Sex Magik though ;)

Yeah it's not great. Like the entire choices though.

I'm guessing she's saving choice cuts for her new album. The change in quality from the EP to the mixtape are too great for anything else. But still, the mixtape is surprisingly mediocre. You'd think she'd have dropped one ear worm.

Dimension 5 - Transdimensional (1997)
A very enjoyable, high-energy Goa trance album. It's an album which tries to perfect the style rather than stray outside the boundaries. Great use of samples and squelchy acid synth lines too.

Akhlys - The Dreaming I (2015)
A review on Metal Archives sums this album up nicely - "If a band could ever capture sleep paralysis in their music, this is probably what it will sound like". This album's combination of eerie black metal and dark ambient is the stuff of nightmares. It feels tailor-made for listening to sitting alone in a dark room, or walking through the woods late at night, neither of which may be a good idea.
