Nails is definitely not a black metal hipster band. They're a powerviolence hipster band.
|
Yeah, if you really wanna **** on all your hipster douchebag friends then become educated on powerviolence and grindcore. "Man, you're still listening to Nails? **** that nu PV bull****, old school or GTFO."

bucket full of teeth or gtfo

Pretty sure Bucket Full of Teeth was part of the second wave, proto-SJW, hipster punk form of powerviolence. Or at least they were from the time period. So they're suspect as well. Gotta go to early **** from California made my misanthropic heroin addicts if you wanna be trve. And you can't rep Man Is the Bastard either, cause they've been co-opted.

Anna von Hausswolff - Ceremony (2012) On first impressions this album reminds me of Kate Bush experimenting with ambient and drone music. The vocal resemblance is uncanny, but the music is something completely different. Nevertheless this album is an intriguing listen and will require more plays to wrap my head around it. http://cps-static.rovicorp.com/3/JPG...er=allrovi.com Various Artists - Why Popstars Can't Dance: A Slumberland Compilation (1994) Slumberland Records are always a reliable source of all that noise pop and twee pop that I can never seem to get enough of. This is a solid compilation featuring bands like Stereolab, Rocketship and Boyracer, as well as some bands I've never listened to before. |
