Bonobo - Migration (2017) Fucking RYM New Releases not working for shit. You rate 1 Accept album and suddenly it lets you know whenever Wolf Hoffmann takes a dump, but you rate all of Bonobo's albums and it can't be bothered to inform me that there's a new album out today. Anyway I'm gonna chillfully glide into my weekend with this. |

All Dogs | EP I don't remember ever queuing this ep on Spotify, but it was there and I started playing it and goddamn who knew mistakes could be so great.

lil update of what i've been vibing/not vibing to as of late
JME - Blam! outside of over me this was always the jme album that i never really appreciated. listening to it lately has brought on an entirely different reaction though. there's a ton of solid tracks on this thing and although it's loaded with jme's typical cheesy moments, it's still a really solid record all the way through. better than Famous but not as good as Integrity. Son House - The Essential Son House i know diddly squat about blues but felt like listening to something different, and stumbled upon this guy. obviously compilation albums are **** but i didn't know where to start so it had to do. going off of this album alone i can see myself going through a bit of blues streak in the near future. i absolutely love the guitar work and the very natural almost improvisational technique he seems to have when he bends his notes. seriously emotional stuff, and also incredibly catchy. Code Orange - Forever this was such a disappointing release to kick off 2017. i'll rep their last two albums till death but this thing just feels like a retread of their previous effort with some unmotivated song-writing and horrid melodic moments tacked on over top of it. i only made it through the album once so maybe i'll give it another go later, but as of now this stinks.

With delta blues, comps are usually the best way to go since most of the figures in the genre didn't release albums as we know them today. Also Son House is the ****ing man.
