And just because I prefer Love in the Future I always seem to underestimate Evolver until I hear it again. And I heart the Rolling Stones. |

Various Artists - Ahbe Casabe (Mo' Blues & Rhythm, Popcorn, Exotica & Tittyshakers!) A tip of the hat to rostasi for turning me on to this one. A collection of tunes that remind me of old burlesque theaters and seedy strip joints (not that I'd know about such places of ill repute) I've heard a few of these songs before but most of them were new to me. Great audio blasts from the past! |

Sorry, Carly Rae, but I cannot return the sentiment, as I find your songs and their attitude to be really, really, really, really childish and lame. As for me, this is what I listened to: Kishi Bashi - Lighght Beautiful and ethereal. Last edited by Kedvesem; 05-28-2016 at 08:38 PM. Reason: Addition |

NP: My favorite purchase from the last record show I attended - Moondog's first EP from 1953. (That's not including the shellac singles from a few years prior.)
It's magnificent, and in a way humbling to hear his first incarnation of "Theme" which we know so well from Moondog 1969! So happy to have this musical milestone.

It's pretty great revisiting albums you listened to a few years ago. This is certainly no acceptation. Nirvana was always great for me I loved punk and rock and when those 2 genres ****ed and had a baby, (or when kurt said if the Bay City Rollers got raped by Black Sabbath...), however you want to explain it it sounds great. There is something about grunge especially when a genius wants to create songs that reflect not only how they feel, but wear there influences on there sleeves by other people they respect and incorporate that in there music that's great. |
