Paradise Lost by Pierre Henry & Urban Sax Urban Sax is one of the more interesting groups to read about, and even moreso to listen to. This has that same groggy, mechanical sax that we all know and love mixed with Henry's sparse electronics. And really, by mixed I mean mashed - they seem to disconnect with each other, though I suspect that is the point. But don't get me wrong, I enjoy the disconnect; it's not cacophonous but rather weathering. Plus 'Fight' conjures The Residents a la Eskimo, a nice addition indeed. |

Robert Johnson - King of the Delta Blues Singers (1961) Always been my favourite blues from the early days of recorded music. There's something special about the way he plays and sings.
