Pigs - Wronger

takes off right where 'You Ruin Everything' left off....and makes improvements....easily another 5 star album for me this year....also a great guest performance by Julie Christmas

The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die - Harmlessness

i can't remember who it was..but someone here with great taste posted about this album and then i saw they were coming to town so i thought i'd check it out....there is really a lot going on here...it seems to me that this band is very interested in moving around on the "sound"....January 10th 2014 is slowing becoming my favorite song for this year

Der Blutharsch and the infinite church of the leading hand - Joyride

much better than their last album and honestly on par with 'The Story About the Digging of the Hole and the Hearing of the Sounds From Hell'...much more concentration on making psychedelic music pure misanthropic evil...also some great highlights with Marthynna's vocals....i've always loved her voice

Gil Scott-Heron - Pieces of a Man [Remastered + Bonus Tracks] (1971)
https://youtu.be/b7Jm2jubZUY

A classic... most of the lyrical references in the first song date it right away, but it's a great album.

Haxan Cloak "Excavation"
Really essential dark ambient music, just got it on vinyl yesterday. Really hoping for a follow up soon, I'm tired of all the collab and contribution stuff to other people's music. I want another full fledged release damnit.

Sir Richard Bishop & David Oliphant "Beyond All Defects"
Eastern drones, mantras, Bishop's guitar. It's a great halloween album, I got the edition with the cards! 24/200

The latest things I've streamed/downloaded:

Middle Class - Homeland (1982)

Rats on Rafts - The Moon Is Big (2011)

patten - ESTOILE NAIANT (2014)

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Strung Out in Heaven (1998)
I hadn't heard this album before, but I took a chance on it because it was only $9.99 new at a local shop. Turns out I had heard a couple of the songs, and overall it's quite good. First BJM I have on vinyl.

EL VY - Return to the Moon (2015)
New side project of Matt Berninger from The National and Brent Knopf, formerly of Menomena. I don't like The National but I like Menomena so I gave it a shot. I appreciate Matt Berninger's voice more in this context - the music is more interesting and it gives his voice more life.

Built to Spill - There's Nothing Wrong With Love (1994)
Vinyl reissue on limited yellow wax. My girlfriend has an original copy but I felt like I needed this color variant as it's one of my favorite all time records.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Usually BJM records go for 30 dollars and up, good find. I only have a few myself because I can't justify buying a 2xlp record with "eh" pressing and packing. The last BJM record I bought was a gatefold 2xlp with sleeve inserts and no anti static plastic or paper record sleeves. Probably one of the best packaged and pressed albums I bought was 10 dollars cheaper than the BJM album I got.
