OH GOD, OH GOD YES. First Listen: Flying Saucer Attack, 'Instrumentals 2015' : NPR Yeah, I really liked "Notuary", and I felt a little let down how bland "Moonlust" was. I preordered it and everything, so imagine how bummed I was. |

Diät - Pick a Line / No Accent [7"] (2012) Diät - Everyday [7"] (2013) East Berlin band I just learned about this week, after a song was released from their forthcoming debut LP. I was happy to find 4 tracks from these 7"s on Spotify. Their brand of post-punk reminds me of Total Control and Institute, two bands I've really been into lately. Creepoid - Cemetery Highrise Slum (2015) Their self-titled sophomore album from last year was the first I heard of the band, a grungy and shoegazey indie rock album. I never fell in love with it but enjoyed more and more with each listen. That may be the case with this one too, as it's good but also not striking me as awesome at this point. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. I don't think either album has any stand out tracks.

Soundtrack Trois Couleurs: Rouge Vinyl (with CD) copy of the soundtrack to Three Colors: Red, my favorite entry in the trilogy. The Dead Models It's Not Love UK garage/power pop from a few years back. There's a Beach Boys gone punk-pop vibe here. |

The Best Pessimist - Autumn Leaves EP I decided to check out more of this guys work since I was so impressed with "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" and with this being an EP, it's absolutely fantastic. I'm really liking this artist a lot right now because he does the type of post-rock that I absolutely crave when it comes to this genre. Definitely an album worth picking up / listening to if you're at all interested in this type of music. |
