I know so many people that hate, I mean, absolutely despise Liturgy where they make public death threats. I just downloaded "The Ark Work", but damn... the black metal genre is full of asspies.

Doucheyness doesn't bother me. You're talking to someone who was obsessed with The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Just more commenting on black metal fans ****ting themselves in anger over them.

The Ark Work definitely meditates on black metal standards, but I would also hesitate to call it a black metal album. Avant-garde metal would be higher up on the genre list for me.

That Liturgy album is one of the sh*ttier records I've heard this year.

What did you think of this? As someone who considers Shape Of Punk a top 5 album, I found this to be a huge disappointment, even with my low expectations. The different sounds they tried out weren't even problematic, the songwriting was just bland. All the songs are just lyrically-worse rehashes of Worms Of The Sense or Summerholidays with QOTSA riffs thrown in.
