Curiosity about those crazy ass Mexican pointy boots lead me to check out some of the music from the scene they're associated with: Trival. It's pretty enjoyable stuff so far—electronic and poppy but with a heavy influence from Mexican folk music. I'd definitely like to check out some more.

Sick Feeling "Suburban Myth"
Got this on vinyl because Don Devore's guitar playing is sex to my ears. Really enjoyable post hardcore, really nice chunky rythmns and noodly and hazed out spasms of solos. Has sort of a "connectivity is making is dependent" theme going on in the first track, and the whole albums reeks of disdain for the whole "hipster culture".

Love this album, really nice textured drones with a a couple of more conventional (albeit really nice) type songs thrown in there.

I've known about it for a little while, but never given it a full listen, I must say that it's really beautiful. My favorites are some of the more drawn out drone orientated tracks.
