Muse's great run ended when Black Holes & Revelations dropped. Then that God awful Resistance record, and personally I enjoyed The 2nd Law but this Drones album I'm not sure how I'm feeling yet. It's actually not too bad.

Yeah, Drones isn't their worst by any means, but it's not anything special.

Spray Paint - Punters on a Barge (2015)
Texas garage punk.

Singapore Sling - Perversity, Desperation and Death (2009)
Icelandic psychedelic rock/noise pop/shoegaze?

The Saints - (I'm) Stranded (1977)
Australian punk.

Prinzhorn Dance School - Home Economics (2015)
Chill UK post-punk. Reminds me a little bit of These New Puritans.

Institute - Catharsis (2015)
More Texas punks. This leaning a bit toward post-punk.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Faith No More - The Real Thing & Angel Dust [Deluxe/Remastered] (2015)

I've been waiting what feels like my whole life for this particular reissue, particularly in regards to The Real Thing which has needed a proper remastering for as long as I've been alive...and now I've finally gotten my claws on it! Two of the greatest albums ever recorded, complete with lots of cool remixes, lives, B-sides, etc. What more could you want?

Couldn't agree with you more, there's no other album I've desperately wanted remastered more than The Real Thing. But is this new reissue actually remastered?

(your image is not showing by the way)

Fixed.

And yeah, both albums were remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios in London. It's a bit more noticeable on The Real Thing though: it sounds louder and there's more "clarity" to the different instruments.

That's cool, I'll have to check it out. My beef with the original recording - which sounded just fine at the time - is that it sounds so tinny.

Olympic Mess by Helm

mm ya this is wonderful. not even sure what to call it. its definitely a noisy drone type deal, but has some surprisingly catchy parts as well. and then some bone chillers (Strawberry Chapstick sends shivers down my spine and I don't know the context of it). been on a 2015 binge lately and while there have been some stellar albums ive discovered, this might be the best one. streaming here if anyone is interested, and you all should be.

Olympic Mess is Fantastic stuff, thanks. I've been listening to a lot of oldies lately, namely Chet and Thelonius Monk, but I was recommended by my old friend something quite interesting by some band called Skyline. They have an E.P , "Something Sum Capital", it's on Youtube, well worth a listen, not quite sure what genre to put it under at the moment though??
