![]() ![]() Grands tyrans by Akitsa I was familiar with the band but don't think Id ever listened to a full album by them before this. its really good so far, making me want to step back into their discog. its a cool mix of black metal and punk. each track has been quite different from the last so far, but they still sound like they belong together somehow. very much impressed |

Latest digital streams/downloads:
![]() Knxwledge - Hud Dreems (2015) Good instrumental hip-hop/wonky. ![]() Jaga Jazzist - Starfire (2015) A few listens in, it's good but hasn't blown me away. ![]() DMX Krew - Shape Shifting Shaman (2014) Meh. I skipped this last year but decided to play it when l didn't find his latest on Spotify. No stand-outs here, he really is best consumed in EP format. I think I'll enjoy his new LP more, based on samples, I just need to find a digital copy. ![]() King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Quarters! (2015) I've only listened to their debut and now this one, so I'm missing the link. But I enjoyed this one more, despite the vocals reminding me a lot of another garage psych band. Can't remember which though. ![]() The Boys - The Boys (1977) Good 70s punk, first time listening to this band. Latest vinyl purchases: Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island (1996) Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (1998) Fugazi - Fugazi [EP] (1988) Fugazi - Repeater (1990) I went to see Neutral Milk Hotel last week, and while working from home that day before the show, I wished that I had their two albums on vinyl. I asked my girlfriend if she did, and she wasn't sure, so I went through all her records and didn't find either one. So I decided to buy them. I've also been planning to pick up Fugazi's albums little by little (I have them all on CD), so I started with these.

Are there any drone songs on that record or did Muse just appropriate it to make people like me sad?

I would still give it a shot though, who knows if it'll be good or not. They're not awful but I ****ing hate their singer. Without that obnoxious singer and if they were capable of somehow not making nap time music, then maybe they could accomplish something great.
