Yup that pretty much mirrors my thoughts on the album.

I listened again on my way home from work today and I agree. It just took a bit to sink in. "Sticky Hulks" is incredible, but that was already a stand-out after the first listen.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

If you're open Jesus will come inside you.
But yeah I love that album too. It's def a time & place thing though - back when Dizzee Rascal won over pitchfork, the streets were also interesting. Subsequent albums range from pretty good to godam awful.

I try to envision Mike Skinner making only his first two Streets records and retiring. And Boy In Da Corner's the best grime album, arguably. It's too U.K-ey not to be.

I much prefer A Grand Don't Come for Free. The storytelling is a big step up from his debut

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - 12 Bar Bruise (2012)
I didn't like this as much as I was hoping to, kind of dragged for a 34-minute album. Maybe it will improve with further listening. Rad cover though.

Pinact - Stand Still and Rot (2015)
Another one I'll have to dedicate more listening time to in order to figure out how much I enjoy it. Garage punk/noise pop?

Un Blonde - Tenet (2014)
Listening to this one now, just a few tracks in. This sounds quite a bit like This Heat, especially vocally. From Montréal, with some distinct glassy guitar tones like fellow Canadians Women and Viet Cong, but this is way more experimental.

Sun Kil Moon - Benji

This man's lyrics are so heart-wrenching and raw towards mortality, you'll wanna kill yourself for making you feel so sad. 10/10

A Certain Ratio - To Each... (1981)
I downloaded this months ago but just listened to it today. Post-punk with some horns.

Shards of Silver Fade by Midnight Odyssey

jeez well I really love his last record, so im pretty stoked that this is now out 4 years later. the album art looks like a terrible prog band which had me a little worried, but the description I read of it melding genres and break new ground sounds good to me. its 2 and a half hours long so not sure ill even finish it now but lets see how it goes..
