Your Heart Breaks - Harsh Tokes & Bong Jokes

They have a new album coming out, but I didn't even know about this one, so I'm now doubly excited for the new one.

The Story So Far - The Story So Far

If you like TSSF, you'll like this album, if you don't, you won't. I'm in the category of those who like TSSF, so I'm a fan.

Defiance, Ohio - The Great Depression (2006)

Got this a few days ago and I've been listening to it quite a bit, it's really solid folk punk and does enough to not become monotonous. Good playing, great sing-along-sings, and I like the political nature of the songs.

Fu****susha - Allegorical Misunderstanding (1993)

I know the band from a recommendation from Frownland, but this is the first album I've ever gotten by them so I'm excited to listen.

IDYLLS - PRAYER FOR TERRENE (2014)

I know this album, but I didn't like it when I first heard it so I'm giving it a second chance because I'm more into this style now.

Weeping, Kneeling - Blood Of Ritual (2014)

I downloaded this on a limb so I have no clue what to expect.

I'm gonna check out that last album based on the cover alone. I'll send you this Fushitsusha box set that's really awesome. Allegorical Misunderstanding is great as well but nowhere near as diverse.

Went to the record store yesterday and picked these up.

Pharaoh Sanders - Live!

It's got You've Got to Have Freedom on it, which is pretty much one of the best free jazz pieces of the first movement in America.

Public Image Limited - Flowers of Romance

Not my favourite of theirs, but still a fantastic record and the shop didn't have First Issue or Metal Box.

Honestly, going through his and Fu****susha's page on rym and listening to the albums with the highest ratings is a good route. I generally don't trust those much but I feel like they're pretty spot on for Haino.

Alright I don't use rym much but I'll try it out. There is just so goddamn much material from him it's confusing where to start.

Huge sidewalk sale in my town, so I picked up some used vinyl:

The Beatles - The Beatles
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
The Cars - Greatest Hits
Roxy Music - Avalon

First two were from a neighbour's garage sale--50¢ apiece.

Been on a downloading/buying rampage as of late.

Earth - earth 2 (1993)

Picked this up on vinyl on Saturday, and what is there to say besides that it's great drone metal.

Earth - Phase 3: Thrones And Dominions (1995)

Decided I would try out more Earth seeing as I have a fairly limited knowledge of them, and I'm not dissapointed so far. A little more accessible than the last one, but not by much just shorter run times.

Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime (1994)

I can't believe yesterday was my first time ever listening to this album I can tell it quickly become one of my favs.

Nails - Unsilent Death (2010)

Where has this been all my life?! I think I'm finally ready to get more into extreme music of this nature because I ****ing lived this album front to back in all of its 14 minute glory.

Nails - Abandon All Life (2013)

More or less similar to the forst album, but much tighter and the songs are upped in the ante. Very crazy, grating experience definately loved this one.

And that's it for now.

Blues Magoos - Basic Blues Magoos (1967)

Blues Magoos - Gulf Coast Bound (1970)

Two very different sounding albums from two different lineups of The Blues Magoos.
