The Mantles - The Mantles (2009)
I've heard several songs recently while shuffling my wishlist - some good and some a little less good. I was getting annoyed with hearing the same ones all the time so I thought I should just listen to the album. Overall a good garage rock/pop album I'll be keeping in rotation. Just one or two songs I wish I hadn't gotten tired of already prior to hearing the whole thing. I need to stop shuffling that queue.

Eddy Current Suppression Ring - Eddy Current Suppression Ring (2006)
Some garage rock/punk from Melbourne, Australia I recently discovered by way of Total Control, a more post-punk oriented band sharing some members. First time playing this one, it's quite raw. I think the second half was more interesting.

L'Orange - After the Flowers [EP] (2014)
Not bad but not as good as this year's album with Jeremiah Jae. I'm looking forward to checking out some other works though, especially his debut The Mad Writer.

The Dentists - Heads & How to Read Them (1990)
I learned of The Dentists recently through their 1985 debut, which was more recently re-released by Trouble in Mind records on vinyl. Figuring I'd check out their second album, I finally got my hands on it and was mostly disappointed. I found several songs too saccharine early on, such as those called "Beautiful Day", "Butterfly", and "Daffodil Scare". The later part of the album seemed a little better, but there's better jangle pop out there. Such as their debut which has a more raw sound and more noticeable post-punk influences. Not sure if I'll bother with any of their other releases now.

Other Lives - Rituals (2015)
Pretty good on the first pass, production sounded really rich.

Metz - II (2015)
I only listened to their first one a handful of times - good but it also didn't make that much of an impression on me. Maybe I'll like this one more. It does remind me of Bleach-era Nirvana which is of course a good thing.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Listening to this one again. Worth it for the second track alone.

Beach Slang - Cheap Thrills on Dead End Street

Beach Slang - Who Would Ever Want Anything So Broken?

I saw these guys open for Hop Along way back in January and I thought they were rad. I am probably going to see them again next weekend, so I decided to pick up their EP's now. I don't know why I waited this long to get them.
