Apollo Ra - Ra Pariah (1989/2015) The gem among gems for late 80's proggy power metal enthusiasts, finally given a proper remastering job, plus two bonus tracks. Heavy metal masterpiece? You goddamn bet it is! Whitesnake - The Purple Album (2015) Was there some life-or-death prerogative that demanded Coverdale revisit his Deep Purple days? Not really. Despite my initial skepticism, I'm honestly blown away by this: he's taken the original material he was involved with back in the 70's and kicked it all up muchos notches in both intensity and inventiveness. Hats off to you, Dave!

At first I didn't like it either frankly, but it grew on me heavy after trying to convince myself that I NEED to like this album. It worked.
