Whitesnake - The Purple Album (2015)

Was there some life-or-death prerogative that demanded Coverdale revisit his Deep Purple days? Not really. Despite my initial skepticism, I'm honestly blown away by this: he's taken the original material he was involved with back in the 70's and kicked it all up muchos notches in both intensity and inventiveness. Hats off to you, Dave!

Judging from a few tracks on youtube I think I have found a new love. Complete Dark Cabaret goodness, and I hope the whole album is as good.
I liked the instrumental aspect of the songs which I've heard. Saying the vocals are really not my thing would be an overstatement, but they will have to grow on me nevertheless.

At first I didn't like it either frankly, but it grew on me heavy after trying to convince myself that I NEED to like this album. It worked.
