The Soft Moon "Deeper" So this leaked about a week ago. I had no idea that it leaked until today, but I'm kind of surprised it leaked a month before the release date. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition as soon as it was announced, but it's nice to be able to listen to this in a decently encoded MP3 way beforehand. It's a lot more abrasive electronically, but Vasquez is opting for more singing instead of shouts and screams, which does and doesn't work (see "Feel"). Cortex - Troupeau Bleu A very finely crafted, somewhat sensual Jazz - Funk album. Highly recommend people give this a listen if you already haven't Various Artists - Funky 16 Corners Very fine collection of rare groove.

The Gordons - The Gordons (1981) New Zealand post-punk. First played it yesterday and listening again now, it's pretty good. Thee Headcoats - Beach Bums Must Die (1990) First listen to the band. Not sure what prompted me to add this to my list in the last year or so, but there it is. '50s and '60s inspired garage & surf punk. Dick Diver - Melbourne, Florida (2015) Latest release from the Australian jangly indie pop band. I first listened to them last weekend with their previous album, Calendar Days, and I gotta say I enjoyed that one more. I did have a lot of interruptions while listening to this one though, so I'll try for a seamless experience next time. tētēma - Geocidal (2014) Mike Patton project with Australian composer Anthony Pateras. Pretty good on first pass.

I'm giving Tritonal's Tritonia: Chapter 002 a listen right now. It's a mixed CD of various artists. I bought this more because it came signed by Tritonal. They are an Austin, Texas, duo which is comprised of Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed. This makes it my first signed album, now that I think about it. There are only three songs from Tritonal, and all of them are remixes (not originals).
It comes with a bracelet as well. I will have a mini review in my journal at some point. Spoiler for Tracklist:
