Chandos - Rats in Your Bed (2015) This was a bit different from what I expected, essentially post-hardcore with guitar tones similar to some screamo and metalcore. But the vocals are more in the post-hardcore/indie vein. I'll have to listen again using headphones to see what I think of it. The Long Winters - When I Pretend to Fall (2003) Seattle band I'm just now getting around to listening to. Pretty good stuff, perhaps similar to Blitzen Trapper. Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie seems to have been on their first two albums, including this one. I liked it, a few great songs but also a couple not so good...that may grow on me. Vision Fortune - Country Music (2015) Interesting experimental rock album that reminded me of Gum Takes Tooth due to the percussion and bass guitar sound, with vocals acting as another instrument. Different sound from them, but similar space I guess. Reminded of Liars as well.

Also, how the **** do you guys manage to listen to so much music in a day? I'm lucky if I get 4/5 albums in, and usually most of those are for review. Mind you, I do write a lot, having now ten journals, so I guess there's that. Even so, considering I'm at home all the time, you'd think I'd manage more but I really struggle...

well gave her a listen and cant say it met my expectations. I get the GTT comparison, but it just wasn't as interesting. might give it another listen at some point, we shall see.
now im onto this thing: Scar Sighted by Leviathan Leviathan have given me some of the best black metal releases ive ever heard, and while I tend to think his compilations, demos and splits are better than studio albums (which is not a knock either), im always down to hear more from him. Plus I dug the track he released earlier. so far its really really good. long live the king |

Listened to quite a few in the past weeks, including some of the ****load of (mostly) new albums that someone sent me. Holy **** that's a lot of music. After exposing myself to so much new stuff I listened to old favourites like Syd Barrett, This Heat's discography, PiL, and my new album. I've also been listening to rostasi's experimental music that uses mine as a source material. They're both pretty crazy. innerspaceboy and Mondo would enjoy those, probably Ninetales as well.
Here's some albums I recently got: Gang of Four – What Happens Next Wadada Leo Smith & Bill Laswell – The Stone: Akashic Meditation Bill Laswell, David Chaim Smith, John Zorn – The Dream Membrane Kevin Drumm – Everything’s Going along as Usual and Then All **** Breaks Loose Carter Tutti – Carter Tutti Plays Chris and Cosey Wooley/Rempis/Niggenkemper/Corsano – From Wolves To Whales Zanussi 5 – Live in Coimbra Liturgy – The Ark Work Tsembla – Terror & Healing Hey Colossus – In Black & Gold Melodic Artet (Brackeen/Abdullah/Parker/Blank/Wate) Wadada Leo Smith - Great Lakes Suite Tesla Coil - GV Buckethead - Night Of The Snowmole Saturnalia Temple - To the Other Deadstar Assembly – Blame It On The Devil

And the thundercrook links are links to the songs, you don't need to download it.
