Flyleaf - Flyleaf

Was feeling nostalgic when a song off this managed to somehow make it on my shuffle. I started listening to the album, and damn, I still love this.

Indian - From All Purity

One track in and I'm already in love with this doomy record. The vocalist is especially awesome.

Typing Indian Rape into youtube came up with some...interesting results.

Damn, I love this.

Napalm Death - Apex Predator Easy Meat (2015)

Not as good as Utilitarian or Time Waits For No Slave but it's got its charm and helps with the doldrums of the beginning of the year.

Could never get into these. Some bits of tracks are good, but followed by far too much screaming and imo vocals that aren't enjoyable to listen to.

In your opinion what's their best album?

If we're talking their grindcore/ crust punk stuff then it's From Enslavement to Obliteration (1988), if we're talking their more groove orientated stuff it's Fear, Emptiness, Despair (1994), and if we're talking their more recent stuff then it's Time Waits For No Slave (2009).

The band is pretty prolific, but they are not for everyone. When it comes to stuff like this I find it's better to just push a newbie into the pit and see if they come out alive rather than wean them into it.

Do you listen to any grindcore? If not then I'd say start with Fear, Emptiness, Despair, even if you don't like the vocals there's some tasty riffs on it.

Yeah I heard these guys were supposed to be legends, but tbh if they weren't a local band I wouldn't have bothered with them.

Is Grindcore the shouty stuff? If so, na, but I will get those albums and report back.

The music is quality, really not a fan of the vocals :D

That could pretty much describe any genre of metal outside of a select few. However, I don't think there's a soul alive who listens to Napalm Death for the vocals.

I'm always happy to see people talking about one of my favorite bands. :)
