I would think so, seeing there influences and how Murphy incorporates that into their music. More of the Dancy side of post-punk though like New Order and the such.

I see an influence, but I don't think it needs to constitute a revival. Just a really dumb idea in my opinion.

I hate calling new music revivals in general.

Ahhh that's a tough one, maybe. In my eyes, the National have made three records back to back all fantastic. LCD Soundsystem have made two brilliant records. So The National.

Dories - Stripped [EP] (2014)
Related in style to the Women, Viet Cong, and Faux Fur camp, yet there are no common members I'm aware of. Also they're from Montreal and not Calgary like the others. But the guitar style and vocals is incredibly similar to Women, although less psychedelic and more pop in the case of Dories and Faux Fur. I enjoyed this more than the Faux Fur album I recently mentioned, the tracks are more varied and interesting. Six songs with two of them over six minutes each, and clocking in at 27 minutes, it's close to being an album, but I guess it's technically a demo tape so EP makes sense. Hopefully they'll release more stuff.

I could have sworn I had listened to this album prior to now, but I guess not. It's just been in my wishlist shuffle for a long time and I've heard most of it. Synth pop/ambient pop essentially - nice electronics with male vocals.

Panda Bear - Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper (2015)
Been waiting on this, playing now for the first time. I really enjoyed Tomboy and so far I'm digging this too. Seems more immediately accessible, but I don't mind. I was not a fan of Animal Collective until Merriweather Post Pavilion.

The Soft Pink Truth - Why Do The Heathen Rage
An album of Microhouse and Techno covers of classic Black Metal songs. By a gay artist. Such a fascinating concept, I couldn't resist. In reality though, it's so far removed from the genres the artists usually works with that calling it Microhouse doesn't really work. The mesh of Black Metal with Electronic genres is almost a whole new sound, a really interesting juxtaposition. Some of these songs are laugh out loud hilarious, some are seriously great and work well, all are campy and fun - and come from a guy who clearly really knows his stuff. Album cover is brilliant.

The Exploding Hearts - Guitar Romantic (2003)
Even from looking at the album cover you know that the music is going to be a throwback, and that's what it is. However this is actually quite good. It's a short 28 minute dose of late-70's-style punk and power-pop, reminding you of bands like The Buzzcocks. It's very unoriginal, disposable and slightly cheesy, but it's damn fun to listen to and the songs are very well written. It's their only album as 3/4ths of the band died in a car crash after its release.

Silencer - Death - Pierce Me (2001)
I felt the urge to seek out some fucked-up sounding black metal this evening and this album hits the spot nicely. The vocalist sounds completely mentally deranged. Actually he is, he supposedly cut off his own hands during the recording of this album and was institutionalised not long after. The vocals here can be either a turn off or define the album. They sound very unsettling and make the music uncomfortable to listen to, giving it a unique atmosphere. Even the instrumentals sound great, with some nice guitar riffs and even piano pieces.
