Good to hear. My musical tastes have mostly been melodic recently, I've hardly touched the heavier stuff. Maybe easing back into it with this will get my taste back.

I gave Billy Joel's Russian concert album a spin on vinyl today. TBH, his voice sounded better when I saw him in March. Really digging my phonograph setup, though. I think next weekend, I'll visit the used record store and go on a binge with my Christmas money.

That new Body Count album is definitely where it's at.

That rather new D'angelo records honestly where that shits at.

Rosetta: Audio/Visual Original Score by Rosetta

so I guess theres a new documentary about Rosetta that came out on xmas and they did the score for it, which seems weird to me that it wouldn't just be made up of their old songs and not totally new stuff but w/e. its also weird because this, so far, has no vocals or really any metal elements at all. its like Rosetta minus the sludge. so its kinda just fairly uninteresting post rock or ambient idk. its ok and maybe makes more sense in the context of the documentary but eh this is kinda like the skeleton of the band; no meat or muscle. could also be a grower tho, since its not at all what I expected.

Boxer by the National.

If you want post-punk, honestly there's no better than The National.

Burzum - Filosofem

This is bringing my entire being into a trance. I'm not sure whether the music sounds this way itself or if it has brought me into an altered state of peace in which it sounds different. Either way, I love it.

Is this a joke?

Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand

One of my favorite tracks on here from when I was younger (Take Me Out.) Decided to check the whole album out finally and it's pretty great.

Completely to my surprise, as I've never been a big fan of the guy...

The new Marilyn Manson album, The Pale Emperor...actually isn't too bad of an album.
