Because I felt like it and wanted to have more negative things to say about this Nickelback clone band, I checked out the new record from Theory of a Deadman titled Savages. There's nothing Savage about it, not the tone of the record, not the lyrics, not the approach to the record, the production, nothing but the fact that the album is a savage to the ears, related in any way to the title of the record. I did like one song though. But not when, and likely it won't happen here, but if and when someone here does speak up about liking Theory of a Deadman, I can rub this flop of a record in their face.

For a record to flop a band has to release something good to begin with. Nickelback is just treading the sewer waters at this point.

Where it was a flop for me was the poor attempt to realize the theme of the album with the tone of the music on Savages. I'm sure they know what the word means, but it's hilarious how the album is pretty much watered down alt rock.

As much as I dislike Nickelback, they will most likely remain successful. Their albums don't really ever do poorly sales wise.

That's a great album. I don't know that I like it as much as Taking Tiger Mountain or On Land though.

I am officially freaked out. You're Josef K, AND also Pet Sounds? Maybe my computer is messing up or something...glitching the page.

Decent. Things Fall Apart is quality, not as good as Illadelph Halflife imo but probably their second best album along with Game Theory.

Is it the first time you've heard these albums?

Should get Southernplaya as well.

hahaha, yeah, I do suppose so. I lend my ear to bands I have always disliked, or music I don't like in general, rather frequently. Not all too often will a band I've always disliked ever win me over with new material they put out, but sometimes it does happen.
