^ The Endless River is pretty good for what it is. People looking for something closer to the old school vocal-oriented Floyd fix, however, might want to check out the self-titled by Northlands that came out recently. Its real high up on my own list this year, and also recommended if you like Camel, early Genesis or anything Alan Parsons has been involved with.

Cleaners from Venus - Under Wartime Conditions (1984) The most recent pick for the Music Banter Psychlub. Found a blog with the original cassette release, so I downloaded it to give it a listen. |

Mount Eerie - Black Wooden Ceiling Opening I have yet to check out Mount Eerie extensively (odd considering my love for The Microphones) but after listening to this album I'm definitely going to do it. I love how heavy these tracks get. I wasn't expecting that at all from Elverum, at least not an entire album's worth. Love it to death like everything he does and all the people he collabs with. |
