Iceage - Plowing into the Field of Love (2014) Yes. If you haven't plowed into the field of love, you're missing out. Katy Perry - PRISM (2013) Not bad for mainstream pop. She's always anthemic, isn't she? Last edited by Zhanteimi; 11-18-2014 at 12:28 AM. |

The Skygreen Leopards - One Thousand Bird Ceremony
A nice folky album I checked out today from a band I've been interested in looking into for awhile now. It turned out to be right down my alley as I was hoping and now I look forward to digging my way through the rest of their discography. |

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars First time I've ever heard an entire Bowie album. Why, God, did I not listen to this before? Thank-you Urban.

Sleep In Sundays - "Okay."
A folk album I found on Bandcamp that's been sitting in my backlog for the last few days. Finally checked it out and I'm glad I did. The guitar is really nice. The gentle field recordings add to the tracks. The soft whispery melancholic voice over it all helps bring it all together. I'm glad I found this because I really like these type of vocals, especially with folk. The album gives off winter vibes which makes me love it even more. Solid. |

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy (1985) Today is the first day I've heard this album. Don't judge. I thought from what I'd read of it--all its glowing praise--that I'd love it. But I don't. I'm just not digging it. I'll make sure to never step into Jack Black's record store... Last edited by Zhanteimi; 11-18-2014 at 07:23 PM. |

Open Mike Eagle - Dark Comedy (2014) I listened to this earlier and it was a bit of a disappointment. I expected it to pretty much blow me away based on what I had heard, but there was something a little off. It felt disjointed and not really that attention grabbing. So I decided I wanted to give it another listen... and when I opened the folder I realised that the tracks were in a random order. They had been given a track listing, but that doesn't always matter when dragging the folder in the play queue. Regardless, I have re-ordered them now (tip: Add "01/02/03" to the name of the tracks and it sorts it out) so lets see how it is this time round.

Duck Sauce - Quack (2014) This is an amazing record! Boogie your brains out, dance like crazy--cuz the benevolent duck aliens are here to save us all. So fraking good! Basically, it's Color Me Badd meets Oscar the Grouch. Last edited by Zhanteimi; 11-18-2014 at 08:11 PM. |
