That is a great album (from what I recall there is quite a bit from Brave New World on that one). Was supposed to see them this summer (damn intranet scalpers). Lets see, I got Lars Roos and Mason Ruffner today. (knaverlisa = music savior)

Just downloaded a copy of "Aqualung" by Jethro Tull, this one is really kind of cool, it's a vinyl pressing made in England from the original master tapes provided by Ian Anderson himself. Some generous soul uploaded it on my fav torrent site and I've got a full WAV copy ready to go. According to the info this is the most accurate version of the album that Anderson wanted to record. This one makes it the 4th copy of Aqualung that I've bought over the years that I've been collecting music.(Well this one is a dl,,,but I think I've earned a freebie anyway)

Stravinsky - The Rite of Spring / Prokofiev - Romeo and Juliet for $1
Dvorak - Symphony No. 9 and Op. 46 for $2

LPs:
Allman Brothers Band - Brothers and Sisters for $2
Rachmaninoff - Symphony No. 3 for 50c
Prokofiev - Symphony No. 7 for 50c
Liszt - Piano Concerto No. 1 and 2 for 50c

Ha ha,,,that's a great haul Seltzer,,,I've got all of those albums except the Allman Brothers one. I really love the Richter version of Liszt's piano concerto's even though it was recorded before I was born. It's so neat to see LP's still circulating in the music world,,,I still miss the beautiful full size album covers.

Thanks for the updates Ashtray, I still have most of my old vinyl collection, however, many are worn out and compared to the CD's I bought to replace them they sound old and used up. I definitely got my moneys worth out of them though so no regrets. I will say though of all the genres transferred to CD, the ones that have the most noticeable improvement are the classical masterpieces, there are so many quiet passages that CD's play without pops, clicks, scratches, etc. that I have to give them the edge. However, The Wall on vinyl sounds better than the CD, it just has that analogue feel that is missing on many old recordings transferred to digital format, there are many others I'm sure, still I love my CD's and if you use a digital/analogue decoder then your CD's will sound much better.
