As far as I can tell, inclusion in this collection had three criteria:

1. Strong British accent?
2. Rock out?
3. Depressed?

great side project from the Municipal Waste front man....seriously fun mix of thrash metal with hardcore anthems....nothing like a vocalist starting off a video with a Slayer "Seasons in the Abyss" shirt and ending it with a Gorilla Biscuits "Hold Your Ground" shirt

Hammerhead - Global Depression

i don't understand why Hammerhead does not get more praise here....they are quintessential noise rock

this is perfect.
Mentioned Iron Regan a couple of weeks back but no takers Glad someone else digs them! Brilliant album.

Sigur Ros do Metal. It's eerie, atmospheric and takes in everything from Black Metal to Post Punk. Shame I couldn't get to see them last Saturday at a fest. Place was was rammed and couldn't get in there

Bargain! Some absolute class there!

Pretty cool album, were they playing that show with Pallbearer? I'm going to see Pallbearer in Vancouver come December and I think Solstafir is opening for them.

No they were at this festival:
Damnation Festival - Official Website

but this was the first time it had sold out ticket wise and as it was indoors there were many issues

Tigerstyle - Mystics, Martyrs & Maharajas

Jans posted about this album a few years ago. Looked through my RYM and had the urge to download it. Oh my god was it hard to find.

Flying Lotus - You're Dead!

The second half of this album is so great. Pure bliss IMO.
