Today I listened to

General Translator - The New You
General Translator - Amorotica. Vaporwave.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/518PAW5P6TL.jpg
Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense and Peppermints. Revisited for the psychedelic album club, which sounds a lot better than psychedelia album club.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_r5WMI7dsbI.../s320/H-SM.jpg
Hellwitch - Syzigial Miscreancy. One of the most ramshackle and ruthless metal albums there is.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...andemonium.jpg
Celtic Frost - Into the Pandemonium. Every time I listen to this it's great, but also feels new and weird.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...9L._SX300_.jpg
Craft - Fuck the Universe. That's right.
Really solid black metal^

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f-4orxYot1...1600/cover.jpg
Maggat - Consultation Hours

http://media.tumblr.com/9dd5e3b34a6a...4Nj1qz4rgp.jpg
Laserdisc Visions - New Dreams Ltd. More vaporwave. I guess imagine walking through a strip mall in 2260 under a dystopian regime and watching late night infomercials in the 90's.

http://www.metal-archives.com/images/6/1/4/1/61417.jpg
Nyktalgia - Nyktalgia. Funny, I'm just now noticing what's going on on the cover.

http://www.progarchives.com/progress...28122013_r.jpg
ELpH vs Coil - Worship the Glitch.

Interpol - El Pintor

i have to say....this one is actually good....almost a blend of their style from the first album with "How It Feels to Be Something On" era Sunny Day Real Estate....maybe not album of the year but a keeper for sure

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...zL._SY300_.jpg
Lydia Lunch & Cypress Grove - A Fistful of Desert Blues

hmmmm Lydia Lunch doing a gothic country album? YES PLEASE!!!!!!....lyrically this is ms lunch doing what she does best...which is always pleasing to my ears....the music is at times very simplistic (in a very good way), haunting, wonderful....perfect

http://i.imgur.com/hgmaMF6.jpg
Roma Amor - On The Wire

there really is something about the Italians and the fact that they make incredible dark cabaret music....this seems to be a step in an odd direction for them....while following their unique blend of accordion driven sultry cabaret music they've added hypnotic synth...almost creating a "darkwave" fell.....a must for wine filled evenings with the one you love(hate) ;)

The Great Unraveling - The Great Unraveling

i just don't know how this one has passed me for so many years....very much like early Unwound and Shellac....with maybe a little bit of that wonderful 90s math rock type stuff....slowing working it's way into my top post hardcore albums

Neil Cicierega - Mouth Silence

Weirdo mashup album. Uses "All Stars" by Smashmouth in near enough every track. Really enjoyable.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Collection.jpg

Sugababes - Overloaded: The Remix Collection

Prefer the originals in general but it's okay.

http://www.metal-archives.com/images...07166.jpg?4619

Cold Body Radiation - A Clear Path

Shoegaze-y album. Kinda boring to me, despite being gorgeous. If you understand.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...lbum_cover.jpg

Kraftwerk - Radio-Activity

Y'all know. Classic.

http://cdn4.pitchfork.com/albums/840...e.b524bbbc.jpg

The Violent Femmes - Permanent Record: The Very Best of Violent Femmes

Can't really go wrong here.

http://metaldownloads.com/wp-content...ds/IpmyjBp.jpg

Acid Drinkers - 25 Cents For a Riff

Pretty good album for sure. Pretty heavy.

http://www.arildandersen.com/wordpre...Mira-Cover.png

Arild Andersen/Paolo Vinaccia/Tommy Smith - Mira

Boring jazz.

http://metalship.org/archives/albums/album32910.jpg

Behemoth - The Satanist

Nice death metal album. Epic cover.

Bernard Willis - Inspired By Nothing

Pretty worthless Hip Hop album so far.

This might be the best mix album I've heard in ages. It's a kind of sampler of the stuff that was on Fila Brazillia's Pork Records label.
I've already gone off & found 3 albums based on material I've heard on this so far.

bob. 10-17-2014 04:47 PM

that cover is equally compelling as it is frightening

The Fabric mixes tend to have a theme they stick with for a few months, this was their hybrid animals theme. Some of the others in the series were just as odd.

Flying Lotuts - Until The Quiet Comes

Started this at 1 in the morning, suffice to say it was very quiet.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61q9vt3S89L.jpg

Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury

Very underrated hip-hop classic. Can you believe Pusha T was involved with this? Obviously right, but I heard his solo **** before this.

http://cdn4.pitchfork.com/news/56909/9bcb510c.jpg

Iceage - Plowing Into The Field Of Love

The added instrumentation was much needed. Without a doubt, their most mature tracks to date.

http://cdn.rtny.uproxx.com/wp-conten...14/02/drop.jpg

Kanye West - College Dropout

I think I'll end the night on this note.

Overrated to me. Decent enough for sure, but it's rated higher than any EL-P or Aesop Rock album on RYM.

I just bought 2 records and they were total opposite side of the spectrum from one another. I got Dillinger escape plan last album and Knapsack-this conversation.......
