That thread was created when the "what was the last album you bought" thread, the "what was the last album you listened to" thread and several other similar ones were all merged. I'm just not sure this is all that different.

Wouldn't that come under the 'listened to' part of that thread?

It isn't really, but to actually put it in perspective and not merge any records you simply bought or downloaded, and only the albums you took the time to listen to fully is the idea behind this thread. I don't know, this thread could work out, depending if you're on the same page as I am.

Yes, but to skip the confusion of whether you downloaded or bought it, it's just records you've "lent your ear too". Don't shatter my aspirations of what this thread could be.

I'm fine with it, but I'm also not the person who merged all those other threads long ago either *cough* urban *cough*. I just was curious, not trying to disrupt your mojo. :)

Right Track merged them all.

The only merging I did was when another thread would come along.

Flying Lotus - You're Dead! (2004)
Played just once so far, last week. At first it felt very messy, as I expected based on the two tracks I'd listened to once each. Eventually it toned down and there are a few tracks I felt are probably quite good. One awesome thing is that it's 39 minutes, a very ideal album length. So it won't overstay its welcome and has a better chance of growing on me. Now if I could just make time to listen to it again.

Foxygen - ...And Star Power (2014)
I haven't played this yet, only the first few tracks over the weekend while driving. After my girlfriend skipped one of the songs that started off with some sound not conducive to her headache, I decided to stop it as I can't have a song skipped when I'm trying to listen to an album for the first time. Also, I was not at all impressed with the first few songs. There's really no way this album is not going to be a self-indulgent, overlong mess. I'm not sure I'm ready for it, especially after my first taste. Too bad they've gone this route, as I felt their first two were quite good. I guess I've got a pre-conceived opinion about it now, so there's not much hope. Maybe it will blow me away. I expect I'll get at least an EP's worth of good tracks from it, I'll be happy if there's more than that.

Goat - Commune (2014)
I'm not sure I enjoyed this as much as their first one (which I only played a few times thus far). Didn't expect the vocals, and I could have done without them for the most part.

And hey can you change that "too" in the title to a "to"? Otherwise my blood pressure's going to rise every time I visit this forum.
