Wikipedia says they are. Sorry for my ignorance.

Yeah. I decided to go through all of Scorpions discography and I have currently listened to "Lonesome Crow" and "Fly To The Rainbow". They are both labelled as krautrock.

One of my favorite electronica/synthpop/indietronica artists has to be Owl City and I enjoyed a lot of his songs yet I haven't bought any of his albums until now. Just recently picked up a copy of Owl City's fourth album, The Midsummer Station. I just got lucky because there was only one left stocked on the shelves at Walmart. This was really fun album to get and listen to in my opinion.

Totally different to the stuff they were doing just a couple of years later.

I liked those two albums though. So if that is krautrock then I would happily listen to that over and over.

But who would you recommend?

Faust, Can, Cluster, Popol Vuh, and Sand. All very different from each other and Scorpions though.

I think I'd add Amon Duul II and Neu! (who should go without saying) also.
