Donnie and Joe Emerson - Dreamin' Wild (1979) Apparently this is one of those "long lost" albums which has a great story behind it, but I can't be arsed with that rubbish. Look past the awful artwork and you find some pretty damn good soul music, with a tinge of psychedelia, funk and r&b. |

^ Yeah you definitely would wanna check out ALL of his other stuff.
In a local pub one of the DJ's actually played his Gorillaz remix and I was pretty excited. I ended up having a nice little conversation with him about the album/bandcamp/new music etc. His Yasiin Gaye stuff is probably the best from a full album standpoint. http://soulmatesproject.bandcamp.com...rture-side-one |

Bubble Puppy - A Gathering of Promises (1969) Solid debut album from this Texas psych/rock band from the 60's. Energetic psych with some folk rock and good vocal harmonies. The music sounds about as dated as the album cover looks but holds up quite well compared to many similar bands of the era. Enjoyable listening from beginning to end. |

The Tea Party - The Ocean At the End (2014) Considering their 2004 album Seven Circles was not the ideal album to go out on, I'm glad they got back together to give it another go. Let's see what 10 years can do for them. Spoiler for Large Album Art:
Death From Above 1979 - The Physical World (2014) Another band who hasn't released anything in a decade. I hope their debut album wasn't just a fluke. http://echoesanddust.com/wp-content/...ly-Artwork.jpg Earth - Primitive And Deadly (2014) Despite waiting a decade for new music from the previous two bands, this is what I will be listening to first. |

Icecross - Icecross (1973) Some dude told me they reminded him of Venom, and I was fascinated to discover that this album was released in 1973! They don't however remind me of Venom, but this Icelandic band's proto-metal/dark-psych sound definitely points towards darker things to come. http://cdn.self-titledmag.com/wp-con...076506_350.jpg The Hunches - Yes. No. Shut It (2002) I remember seeing the album cover sometime during the peak of the whole garage rock revival thing in the early-00's and wondered what it sounded like. Now I know. This is a loud, distorted and chaotic garage-punk album with a tip of the hat to The Stooges and may or may not have been recorded on amphetamines. Some damn good stuff. https://d1wtzzt4oxg683.cloudfront.ne.../53/148553.jpg Esben and the Witch - A New Nature (2014) A significant change in direction for the band on their third album. They've done away with the layers of reverb and stripped their sound down to something more minimal and post-rock. It still retains a feeling of weariness and darkness like their previous material but does sound slightly dull on first listen. |

Doze - Iron & Rhymes (Aesop Rock + Iron & Wine) (2012) So, basically what it says on the tin. Doze mixes the two and creates some decent music. There's also a part 2 that you can find on the same bandcamp page. Iron & Rhymes (Aesop Rock + Iron & Wine) | Doze |
