Do you think it's actually him? I'm not overly convinced. I like the sound though.

it is
Jonah Hill tweeted about it and it seems like he just released it without much hype. Seems like a Michael Cera thing to do.

Third Pary by Blue Sky Black Death

one of the best $1 bargain bin buys ive ever made. Instead of their usual dreamy instrumental hip hop, this is more synthpop ala Postal Service, which makes sense considering Alex Chen of Boy in Static takes the singer position on this album. But it still has that shiny BSBD sound. I dont think it's my favorite album theyve been a part of, but it's darn good and worth more than the apparent obsurity it's gotten compared to the rest of their discography.

I'm liking this album. Lo-fi folk/piano/experimentalness. I didn't expect this to come from Michael Cera... but then again it makes sense. Real nice.

Oh my dayz. I was just coming in to say I was listening to it. This kid thinks he's Daniel Johnston. And yeah, it's on his bandcamp.

I got a browser app called "scroblr" which lets me scrobble plug, bandcamp, pandora etc. to last.fm. But I un-tick You Tube as I don't usually listen to music there.

So I now don't feel the need to download everything! Yippee.

Nachtmystium - The World We Left Behind (2014)

While I was saddened to hear the band decided to call it quits last year, I was elated when I read that they were planning on releasing a final album. Not that 2012's Silencing Machine was a bad album, but it certainly fell short after the incredible Addicts: Black Meddle, Pt. 2 from 2010. It certainly plays out more like a rock album but without the psychedelic elements that really made me fall in love with this band. It's still a kickass album that will be great for driving.

I gotta say, I quite like the Michael Cera album.
It's low fi and low key, reminds me of a less talented and less polished Microphones.
Not bad at all from a Hollywood actor.

I was getting that exact same vibe. I hope he does more.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis: Bold as Love (1967)

Felt like giving this psychedelic rock masterpiece a spin on my turntable today.
