Shout At The Döner—Kid 606
For years all I owned by IDM crazy guy Miguel Trost De Pedro was Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You and Who Still Kill Sound? and I loved the coked out, off the rails quality of those two albums but for some reason I never got around to listening to anything else by him. Now finally I have: Shout At The Döner. It's a different animal—slurred and fuzzy, more of a booze album than a coke album—but so far I'm really enjoying it. It's still fucked up, but in an unexpected way, and that's something I really dig.

Streaming this and it's absolute perfection. A local band from my city but they've been making it pretty big with their own brand of noisy pop music. Saw them live earlier this year and they were great then as well. These hooks will be in your head for days.

One of my favorite blogs that I used to get a ton of music from a few years ago is finally back, so I guess it's time to revisit my emo/punk/screamo days of freshman year of college again! (Okay, they never really went away...just tapered off a bit)

I may have spoke too soon. The first half certainly has MBV qualities, but the last, 30 minute song is mostly this long drawn out post-rockish piece filled with vocal sample that remind me of Sonic Youth's Providence. It's very intense; the album is very very good.
