Zu - Goodnight, Civilization [EP]

That same old fantastic Zu we know and love. This album takes a fuzzier direction than what they've done before, treading on some dronier areas as well. Zu fans will love this. My one complaint is that it's not an LP, but hopefully we see another one in the near future.

I agree that is unusual cover art.

I'm glad the new Septicflesh album lives up the standards their last few left.

Sage Francis - Copper Gone (2014)

Finally found an unedited copy, easily the best thing he's done since his first two solo albums.

This week's haul:

I'm just going to list them instead of album covers.

Rebelution - Count Me In
Jack White - Lazaretto
First Aid Kit - Stay Gold
Say Anything - Hebrews
Kate Tempest - Everybody Down
The Amity Affliction - Let The Ocean Take Me
Die Antwoord - Donker Mag
Disclosure - Settle
Little Comets - Life is Elsewhere
Little Comets - In Search of Elusive Little Comets
After seeing Pete's post, went and got the new Sage Francis also.

Buckethead - Monument Valley

Bukethead - Claymation Courtyard

These were definitely worth the 4$ that I got them for.

Hank III's attempt at a stoner/doom album. I have not yet given the entire album a listen, but the one song I heard was.. interesting.

95.5 WBRU is pretty good, or it least it was back when I lived in the area.

Explosions in the Sky-The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place

Still as beautiful as I remember it.

Death Grips-niggas on the moon

Definitely some very odd and innovative production on here that's probably the biggest highlight of this release. Stefan (MC Ride) tears through it with a performance both awe-inspiring and discomforting, like you almost want to look away but can't. The only thing I would lament is how it sort of starts to blend together at certain points and that Zach Hill's drumming doesn't really stand out this time around. Honestly though this is a really cool first part and I'll be looking forward to the next one
