The Truck Turner soundtrack is as good a place as any to get into Isaac Hayes or you could start with this masterpiece, also...

Isaac Hayes - Shaft: Music From The Soundtrack (1971)

Over 30 years into his musical career and Tom G. Fischer is still releasing amazing albums. It may be too early to call yet but this album could possibly hold its own against the best Celtic Frost albums. It's as heavy as fuck and it doesn't bother me in the slightest that it's over an hour long.
Yeah I'm quite enjoying this album as well, it could actually be my favourite metal album this year.

I like the effort however some of the female vocal stuff was a bit too much for me. I enjoyed their debut a bit more, I felt it was far more angry and Metal in sound. All in All a pretty good effort and I enjoyed the album. It had alot more atmosphere so to speak then Epirastera Daimones.

I didn't mind the female vocals as much, but I don't think it was better than their debut from 2010.

Black Milk - No Poison No Paradise (2013)

Catching up on some hip hop from last year, really enjoying this album.

Hyderomastgroningem - Ruins

Dear god, this is awesome stuff. Japanese experimental rock that's on a constant roll.

^ Specifically, its Japanese Zeuhl.

As for me-

Edguy - Space Police [Defenders Of The Crown] (2014)

Easily the best album these guys have done since they started in the mid 90's. Inspired and humorous European power metal with a touch of glam. Pretty catchy too: careful folks!

Tears For Fears - Raoul And The Kings Of Spain (1995)

Considering how much of a TFF I am, I guess I should be smacking myself upside the head a few times for never going out of my way to get this album and sit down with it. Now that I have though, I can safely say assert once more that Roland Orzabel is one of the most extraordinary singer-songwriting masters of the last thirty years, and this album is yet more evidence for the court. A couple numbers here could even stand toe to toe with Songs From The Big Chair or The Seeds Of Love, and I used to think nothing could get within spitting distance of that pair o' records.

You should check out their album Saisoro with Derek Bailey. Not a combo I would expect but still very good.

Pharrell - Girl

Listened after DJ played a track from it in Plug. I think it's OK but the two tracks (Happy & Know Who You Are) are the best on this album. It Girl & Gust of Wind are half decent but nothing else is worth a 2nd listen imo.

2/5.

Pic is big sorry didn't see.
