71TONMAN - S/T (2013) Debut record from the unsigned Polish sludge/doom band. Requires a second listen. First impressions were some good, slow, doomy riffs but still kinda on the fence a little. I EXIST - FROM DARKNESS (2013) Australian sludge/hardcore band from Canberra. Kinda on the fence with this too. Sounds great in places. In other places...not so much. |

Huh weird. That reminded of this band I heard about a few years ago called "I-Exist". Remembered them sounding more like Karnivool, but hey couldve been a change of sound. Then I looked them up and yep theyre different bands. I-Exist also released 4 albums last year (Humanity vol. 1-IV) so now im gonna check them out again. So.. thanks for getting me to listen to a band you might not even be aware of.. haha.

The Residents - The Third Reich 'n Roll (1976) Took this out of my vinyl collection and decided to give it a spin. An album of 1960's rock and pop covers with an avant-garde interpretation in typically twisted Residents style. |

I'm going to be completely superficial and download this album based off of the album cover.
