What did you think of this soundtrack?
I bought it quite awhile ago.

Love it. Great spins on old tunes and really good female vocal work. Only played it for the first time tonight but I think it will become a soundtrack fave.

Downloaded a live show from Papalactic Congress, featuring Stanton Moore on drums.
Some good New Orleans funk, recorded at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans on December 28th of last year. Stanton Moore Live at One Eyed Jacks on 2012-12-28 : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive |

Kayo dot- Hubardo If you are at all an adventurous music fan, and like the idea of an over 100 minute post-classical-avant-black-jazz-metal album with hints of folk you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. Easily their best since Choirs of the Eye, and atm I'd say better than it. Last edited by Euronomus; 09-25-2013 at 01:16 AM. |

I agree even when I heard it I wasn't sure of some of the older tunes but it did force me to go look up the originals and compare it to the versions on that soundtrack.

Ulcerate - Vermis (2013) Now here was an album I was really looking forward to when it was announced. Ulcerate are a New Zealand death metal band that takes equal influence from bands like Gorguts and Nile as well as bands like ISIS and Cult of Luna. So you'll have your typical death metal affair, then it will cut away to one of the softer melodies you expect from bands like ISIS. It creates an interesting juxtaposition and ensures that it never becomes meaningless noise. |
