I saw Laura Marling live some time ago as a support artist and really loved her. But then never got around to getting any of her actual stuff! I've gotta get onto it. Did you enjoy this album?

Have they replaced the David Lee Roth sounding singer yet?

The Moondoggies Adios I'm a Ghost (2013)

Another fine batch of soulful Americana songs. "Ghost" is an appropriate title as I consider many of the tracks here as having a haunting vibe.

Barrence Whitfield and the Savages Dig Thy Savage Soul (2013)

Haven't heard this yet but Whitfield never disappoints with his mix of raw R&B and early rock-n-roll raucousness.

To be honest I'm only familiar with their early '00's stuff because it had Mike Patton attached to it, but I didn't find the vocalist sounded like David Lee Roth on this album.

That's good to hear. I love the album they did with Patton, but the dude that was the singer on Miss Machine kind of killed the album for me.

Black Sabbath - 13, and it was surprisingly good

I'll be sure to avoid it. I really hate it when the vocals kill an album, I really liked the instrumental portions but the Geddy Lee style vocals just killed that album for me.

Anyways

Mark Morgan - Fallout 1 & 2 OST

While I only really got into the first Fallout games earlier this year, I can't believe I never noticed how awesome the soundtracks are. Mark Morgan did a fantastic job creating this bleak ambient/electronic albums that really reminds me of newer ambient musicians like Tim Hecker.

Scratch Acid - The Greatest Gift

Tickles my obscure music fancy, haha. Honestly haven't gotten to listen to the whole album all the way through, but the beginning sounds interesting enough for me to give it a good listen.
