Imagine a Hawkwind album (He was a member at the time) done totally on a 70s synth with all the guitars, vocals & drums taken out. Jean Cerrone is a French drummer & disco producer in the same vein as someone like Giorgio Moroder (Who I loved long before Daft Punk ever name checked him so f*ck you). I was debating whether I should check him out and the cover won me over.

Mac Miller-Watching Movies With the Sound Off
It has some pretty good and frankly beautiful moments, but overall it's just "ok"

The Dentists Some People Are on the Pitch They Think It's All over It Is Now (1985) Been looking for this album for ages. Trouble In Mind just reissued it on blue vinyl. Byrdsian garage-rock from a UK band. Worth the wait. |

Picked up a mint condition copy of this little beauty for £29 which isn't bad because usually I've seen it going anywhere from £40 - £100 used.

This album is extremely amazing. Can anyone recommend me albums similar to it? I've never really been big on metal-type stuff at all but I loved this, so I have no idea where to go to start finding albums of this type.

Or look up "blackgaze" on RateYourMusic and Last.fm to find other artists that fall under the genre.
Here's some of the more popular ones that I can think off the top of my head: Alcest Amesoeurs Austere Lantlos Listening to this on Spotify right now and I'm already pretty impressed, way better than anything Alcest ever put out. I can definitely see why people have been going a little crazy over it this year. |

Laura Marling - Once I Was An Eagle
LeAnn Rimes - Spitfire Yes, I've actually found the time to download and listen to a couple of albums end-to-end that I've never listened to before...is that hell freezing over I see? |
