Love the Blood Ceremony LP. I liked it on first listen and then shelved it, for quite some time. When I went back I appreciated it more, including all the flutey, folky parts.

I completely disagree on WOY too. I love that release. Initially it took some getting used to, their movement away from atmospheric black metal into more doom and by Woods 5, it's like 90% doom and completely clean vocals on that 90% as well.

The vocals are somber, gloomy, almost talked in parts and the record is almost completely themed around death. The words seem to hold much more weight when you consider that David Gold passed between the albums recording and its release and so Woods 5 is the final installment of the bands discography. A very fitting end.

I am a one listen kind of guy for albums I just don't like. I also have not heard anything from the band beforehand so felt no need to give it another chance.

They arent a band without their fair share of crap, and they did change their sound a lot over the years. I like the Against the Seasons EP and Pursuit of the Sun. I like Woods 5. Woods 3 didn't leave an impression on me and Woods 4 sucked.

Default Nimefika- young aspiring singer/ songwriter from Kenya

Naphy Naphy or Naftali is a 20 year old Kenyan guy whose Mum earns £1.50 a day picking tea. Despite his humble background, Naf has saved to produce this music video. Take a look- it's suprisingly catchy!

Lola Colt "I Get High If You Get High/Boom Boom Blasphemy"

I got my monthly 7" in the mail today. These guys were/are on Fuzz Club Records, so I knew I'd love this. I just watched a live video of these guys and was BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY.

Throw Patti Smith in a blender with Tricky and this is the result.

Wait... is that a new release from BPB? He's one of the few country artists I really love, and definitely one of my favorite local artists. It's good to know some truly great music has come out of Louisville.

This sounds like it will be absolutely awful, or fun as hell. How do you like it? You have great taste in music, so I'll trust you.
