I'm considering picking this one up as I like the songs I've from it I'ver heard from it so far.

Ordered this one yesterday. It's their first-ever album of new material in the band's 50 year history.

yeah that was me. It was the last song I actively queue'd up and then I ended up passing out at my desk. I woke up to see helicopter dick pirate and I just shut off my laptop and fell into bed.

It turned it to be way better than I was expecting. I feel like you'll enjoy it.

It is. Is there another album of theirs that would be a better introduction to their discography?

I don't know if it will really matter one way or another, but I actually got into them by going from their newest album (at the time Heliocentric) and working back. They put out a new album this year called Pelagial that's a little more focused then their early stuff, but I wouldn't say it's any better. You've already got the album so give it a go and if you're underwhelmed or turned off, give their newer one a try (pretty sure it's on Spotify) and see if that works instead.

Phosphorescent - Muchacho (2013)

After the disappointment that was The Handsome Family's new album (whatever the hell it was called), I'm hoping this one will give me some new country from a band I already like.
