Just checked this out.
Always a bit wary with collaborations especially when I'm not a massive fan of the originals anyway (Bloc Party/The Automatics) but its not a bad listen. Apparently it's very reminiscent of Yourcodenameis:milo, but as I've not heard much from them I can't really comment. Dips into acceptable emo territory from time to time, but generally a solid post-hardcore album. Twin Victory and These Arms were the standouts for me. |

Picked up today or arrived in the mail:
Femi Kuti No Place for My Dream Another winner from Fela's son. Black Host Life in the Sugar Candle Mines Thanks to Blarobbarg for first posting about this album. Treetop Flyers The Mountain Moves New UK folk-rock group, so far so good. Allman Bros. Brothers And Sisters My vinyl copy is worn out so I picked up the double disc deluxe edition which was pretty affordable. Watermelon Slim & The Workers Bull Goose Rooster Another excellent slab of electric country blues from Watermelon Slim. |

Brand new Dubmatix set along with poster, stickers, T shirt and the album. Album and poster personally signed too. I guess I'm a fan! A British Thrash band that haven't made any new music for over 20 years but due to nostalgia and internet buzz have reformed and released a new album independently and it is so refreshing to hear a band making old school Thrash. Very decent. Very fine old school Dance album with House, Chillout and Reggae infused tunes. NO Dubstep either! Thank you!

Why ty Melt Yourself Down - Avant-garde jazz/Afro-electronic. Coming off of my love for the new Daft Punk album which I haven't listened to in over a week this continues the same vibe as it and I fecking love it. Electronic-funk Electronic funk pop I haven't listened to this yet but the one track that I heard shows promise that I will enjoy it. All courtesy of some recs from crazed ty ty tyvm

I haven't heard that album, but I've heard people talk (sh*t) about it quite a lot. I have heard Diary, though. I would totally recommend it to you (the album you posted is considered to be one of their worst ones).

Aydio - The Second (2013) London downtempo/dub DJ that I really enjoy. Didn't even know he had a second LP in the works, but I check my Facebook and find out he does. Can't wait to give it a spin. |
