Mac DeMarco - 2 (2012)
This has been showing up in my recommendations on last.fm and Amazon for a while, finally checking it out. I really intended to shuffle a big list of albums in Spotify that I've yet to listen to, in order to see what caught my attention. I double-clicked the first track of this to get started, and liked it enough that I decided I wanted to hear the whole thing now. Track 3, "Freaking Out the Neighborhood", sounds very familiar, maybe just from a sample. Anyway, this is quite good jangly/folky indie stuff, with a bit of a surf element to it. It has reminded me of Stephen Malkmus and Kurt Vile so far.

Quasimoto - Yessir Whatever (2013)
I played this yesterday for the first time. It seemed to go by pretty quickly without drawing too much attention to itself. Granted I'm at work most of the time I'm listening, so it's often passive listening the first time. I like that it wasn't overlong. I think with repeat listening I will enjoy this. But again, it didn't pull my attention away from work in any way. So maybe it will just be so-so.

Spiritual Front - Armageddon Gigolò (2006)
An indirect recommendation from bob.. I don't listen to much music along these lines (neofolk/dark cabaret) but I found this enjoyable. The vocals at times (fairly often actually) reminded me of Ween's "Buckingham Green".

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Punk rock shit.
Streaming this on Spotify now. Not something I'd typically go for, but after listening to Spiritual Front it works. Still, not sure how much replay value it has for me. Reminds me of Nick Cave's style and I'm not really a fan except for the occasional song.

Not listened to it yet personally.

Constantines - The Constantines (2001)
I forgot to add this one yesterday, playing it for the second time now. Really good hard-edged indie rock, basically post-hardcore with some post-punk in there (wait, doesn't it all?). At times it reminds me a lot of Fugazi without sounding like a rip off in any way. Basically old punk and post-hardcore, well done. One reviewer on Amazon said ...straight-forward yet intelligent, raw and polished at the same time..." I couldn't have said it better myself. This could probably have come out on Dischord in the early 90s.

Aw man, I forgot about this act of his. I only ever got The Unseen but I really enjoyed it for its sonic strangeness. If your experience with this new release is anything like mine with his older work, then it will be a slow, sinister grower.

Anywho, I'm trying to expand my pathetic lack of familiarity in the 'electronic music' umbrella category, so I've got quite a bit in queue. (Much of this is thanks to DJ's electronic education thread, which all of you should read or have already read.)

Some progressive.

A bit of breakbeat.

Flying Lotus- Cosmogramma
A smidge of dubstep.

A little prog trance. (I apologize for the egregiously large image)

And finally some good ol' IDM.
I'm hoping to give all of these a proper hearing and post my impressions within the next few days. The sheer amount of heralded artists and sub-genres in the generic term 'electronica' is a little daunting, but damn it I'm going to be familiar with it all eventually.

I'm a huge fan of The Colour of Spring, which is tad more 'poppy', but I've never really gotten into any of their other material.

Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary (2009 remaster with bonus tracks)

Just bought this one, and I'll give it a first listen once I'm done importing it. I'm familiar with some of the tracks (Seven, In Circles, Song About an Angel), and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest.

Should I be excited?
