Th' Legendary Shack Shakers - Agri-Dustrial (2010) It's basically a blend of psychobilly/swamp rock with industrial noise undertones. Doesn't sound like it should work, but I'll be damned if it doesn't get the job done, easily their best album. Dax Riggs - We Sing of Only Blood Or Love I've been meaning to get his post-Acid Bath stuff, only having his 2010 solo album and this was one of the few I found online. I imagine I can find some of his other stuff if I dig a little deeper, but this one is performing quite well for the time being. |

William Basinski – Variations: A Movement In Chrome Primitive
I don't know why, but I kept listening to Variation 2 on YouTube after hearing it on Pandora. I'm only now finally downloading the album. I may like one of other variations more. I ain't know.

Orval Carlos Sibelius - Super Forma (2013) Solid neo-psychedelic rock/pop from this Frenchman. It had a more 60s vibe initially but then it started reminding me of Tame Impala to an extent. Will listen to again very soon. The Sound - All Fall Down (1982) Third album from the London post-punkers. Not bad so far, a bit more accessible than the first two, not that it needed to be. Ex Wife - New Colors (2013) I expected a bit more post-punk here based on Urban Hat€monger's post, but it turned out sounding a lot like Midwestern Emo initially. In the second half I picked up on more post-punk and then it became obvious. Needs to listen to it some more to figure out whether I like it or not.

Gaza - No Absolutes In Human Suffering. Grindcore with a little smattering of Doom and Sludge. No pig squealing on this one just **** heavy riffing and blast beats here and there. Quality. Integrity - Suicide Black Snake Pretty much a one man band. If Infest made a Metal album. Crunchy dirty riffs a raw production and great vocals.

The album I've been waiting 20 years to hear since 1991's Empire. It was never going to please everyone with all the drama surrounding the band (legal and otherwise), but it's so great to hear these guys without a stupid tyrant like Geoff Tate systematically destroying what made these guys great year after year after year. Welcome back fellas...its been a long time.
