I've been in the mood lately to listen to some of the cheesy 80s metal I used to enjoy years ago. I used to own all these on vinyl, I've not owned a record player since 1999 and I'd say I'd not listened to any of those albums years before I got rid of it (Not King Diamond, I always liked him).
So in some cases I'm hearing this stuff again for the first time in 15/20 years.

Portugal. The Man - Evil Friends

Some good psychedelic rock with Danger Mouses' slick production. I dig a lot.

This is one of my three favourite thrash metal albums along with Reign In Blood by Slayer and Dreamweaver by Sabbat. The production is a bit shit but the band sound like they're on fire. A classic.

This is a perfectly good, well-written record. It holds a 66 on Metacritic, which to me seems a bit too much flak.

The last album I bought was: Jimmy Smith - Back at the Chicken Shack

I just checked, and YLAOM is available on Amazon, at an alright price too as long as shipping costs aren't too horrible to you
