Streetlight Manifesto - The Hands That Thieve (2013) I had seen a few other people posting this album so I guess it was finally released. There were so many conflicting dates and nothing really posted on the bands website, but whatever, I have the album now so all is well with the world (except all the places where shit is fucked). The Cat Empire - Steal The Light (2013) I've been wondering if they were releasing something new, and sure enough they have just released a new album, can't wait to dig into it. |

Never understood the cover art, but it's a worthy follow-up to their masterpiece.

Bought downloads of 2 Tex Perkins albums.
Tex Perkins & The Dark Horses (2011) Tex Perkins and the Band of Gold (2011) He was once a member of the Australian garage rock band, Beasts of Bourbon. Now his music is more geared towards Americana/roots rock. |

I love it when bands take the piss out of Metal as long as they like the genre in the first place and can actually play. This is great fun.

This album sounds right up my alley. I'm definitely going to check it out.

ROKYSOPP - MELODY AM (2002) Why have I never listened to this before? Truly beautiful trip-hop record. MADLIB - MEDICINE SHOW #5 (2010) I listened to 'Shades of Blue' yonks ago now and I loved that. However I never got around to checking anything else out and so I gave this a spin the other day based on its RYM rating, without realising that it seems to be a compilation. I liked it, quite chilled beats, mostly instrumental hip-hop, a little jazzy in places - but now I realise it's a compilation of what seems to be cassette, unreleased stuff (not that theres particularly anything wrong with that) can anyone suggest any other studio albums of his to check out? |

Finally able to get a leak of this.
Quasimoto - Yessir Whatever I'll probably get the CD version of this when it is officially released because the cover art is really cool. Can't wait to finally hear some new/old Lord Quas stuff.

James Pants - Psychik Almanack Vol. 1 This compilation is pretty damn good. Not 100% sure if it is a compilation of legit tracks released by the artists or if James Pants remixed them in some way. Cool nonetheless.
