I've always been a little lukewarm about The Handsome Family. They came up a lot when I was starting to get into more roots and Americana music but I never cared for them as much as some of the other artists I found during that time. I've heard some good things about this album and I really like the artwork too.

I was pretty bored by it, a few good tracks but not enough to keep my interest except when I saw it was almost over. I'll give it a try by years end, but I've never been that big into The Handsome Family anyways so I can't say I'm that surprised.

The new Primal Scream album is great though.

Compilation album of the incidental music written for the German sex films of the 1960's & 70's, that screened on German TV every Saturday night when I was a teen that I used to ummm ..... study.

Mirrored is easily their best release. But I never feel the urge to listen to Battles anyway.

I found Gloss Drops more enjoyable personally, something to do with fewer chipmunks in the studio.
